Investing and mentoring

Early cheques. Unfashionable advice.

Sahil Jindal is an early-stage investor and startup mentor backing pre-seed to Series A Indian founders through SIORA Capital and Synergy Growth Labs.

I invest personally through SIORA Capital and alongside seven partners through Synergy Growth Labs. I write early cheques into Indian founders, usually in categories I have operated in or bought from.

Stage

Pre seed to Series A

Geography

India first

Sectors

Manufacturing, mobility, consumer

Structure

Direct and syndicate

What gets my attention

A founder who knows their gross margin without opening a spreadsheet. A market that is boring on the surface. Distribution that is defensible. A reason this has to exist now.

What does not

Category first thinking. A deck with no customers in it. Founders who will not say what has gone wrong.

Mentoring founders

I have spent twenty two years inside a business that could not fail quietly, because the family name was on the invoice. That changes how you think about risk, cash and reputation.

When I work with founders it is usually on the unfashionable parts. Unit economics before the raise. Distribution before the product refresh. Governance before the term sheet. How to build a team that stays when the market turns.

Where I add most value

Manufacturing and supply chain · Distribution and channel building · Consumer and D2C brand · Mobility and EV · Family business transition and governance

How I work with founders

One structured conversation to see if I am useful. If I am, we set a cadence. If I am not, I will say so in that first call and try to point you at someone better.

What I ask for

Preparation, honesty about the numbers, and a willingness to be argued with.
