About

Builder of businesses. Backer of founders. Third generation entrepreneur carrying a 70 year legacy forward.

Sahil Jindal, third generation industrialist and Managing Director of DS Jindal Group, seated in a lounge in Gurugram

Who I Am

I am Sahil Jindal, Managing Director of the DS Jindal Group and Co Founder of Trevel. I am a third generation entrepreneur based in Gurgaon, with over 22 years of experience building, scaling and reinventing businesses across manufacturing, mobility, investing and venture building.

My story starts before me. My grandfather, Padma Shri Debi Sahai Jindal, built our family business from Nalwa village in Haryana around 1960. What began as a pipe manufacturing operation in Hissar has grown into a diversified industrial group that has served India for more than seven decades. I grew up inside that legacy, and everything I build today is an attempt to honour it while taking it somewhere new.

I studied at Springdales School, Delhi, and earned my BBA from the University of Greenwich, London in 2005. I joined the family business soon after and took charge of transforming a traditional manufacturing group into a modern, multi vertical enterprise.

Beyond business, I am a traveller, a connector of people and a student of how companies get built. The best part of my work is the people it brings me into a room with.

My grandfather, Padma Shri Debi Sahai Jindal, built the whole thing from a village. Everything I do is a footnote to that.

What I Do

DS Jindal Group

As Managing Director, I lead a 70 plus year old industrial group that manufactures steel pipes, PVC, CPVC, HDPE, MLC and PP Silent Drainage pipes, along with Flujo, our brand of GFRP rebars and building materials. Our manufacturing footprint spans locations including Pantnagar and Dehradun, with new capacity coming up in Andhra Pradesh. My focus is modernisation: new product lines, national channel partnerships, brand building and preparing the group for its next phase of growth.

Trevel

I am Co Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Trevel, a mass premium managed EV fleet mobility platform operating in Delhi NCR. Trevel was born from a simple frustration: cabs that cancel, surge and disappoint. We built the opposite. Our own electric fleet, our own chauffeurs, fixed pricing, no surge, and a promise that the car simply turns up. We started with a handful of cars in Gurugram and are now scaling the fleet aggressively, with the ambition of becoming India's most reliable EV cab service.

SIORA Capital

SIORA Capital is my family office. Through it, I invest across ventures and asset classes with a long term, founder friendly lens.

Synergy Growth Labs

A collective VC platform I run with seven partners, pooling capital, networks and operating experience to back promising companies together.

Indian Venture Studio Association (IVSA)

I founded IVSA (ivsa.in) as an apex industry body for venture studios in India. I believe the venture studio model is one of the most under appreciated ways to build companies in this country, and IVSA exists to organise, represent and grow that ecosystem.

Helping Startups

I work with founders the way I wish someone had worked with me at the start: direct, practical and invested in the outcome.

That takes a few forms. I invest personally and through SIORA Capital and Synergy Growth Labs. I mentor founders on strategy, distribution, fundraising and the unglamorous operational details that actually decide whether a company survives. And I build alongside them, through venture studio partnerships where we create companies from scratch.

I wrote Startup Saga: From Idea to IPO, A Founder's Playbook to put everything I have learned into one place: 18 chapters covering the full journey from first idea to public markets, grounded in Indian case studies and my own experience across two decades of building.

Investing

My investing thesis is simple: back real businesses solving real problems, run by founders who show up every day.

I invest across stages and sectors, with particular interest in mobility, climate, consumer brands, manufacturing adjacent technology and the venture studio model. What I bring beyond capital is operating depth: 22 years of running factories, building distribution networks, managing channel partners and scaling brands in some of the most competitive markets in India.

Leadership and Community

I am a founding member and Past President of EO Noida, a chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization that five of us launched in August 2021. We grew from 36 to 50 members in the first year and the chapter now stands at over 100 members. I also serve EO South Asia as a Strategic Alliance Expert, helping build partnerships across the region.

EO has been one of the most important rooms of my life: a place to learn from peers, share honestly and grow as both an entrepreneur and a person.

Beyond Work

I host the Brand N Brains podcast, where I talk to founders and operators about how brands and businesses actually get built. I am also working on a book on venture studios written for the Indian context, and on a coffee table book celebrating the life of my grandfather, whose 100th birth anniversary we marked with the launch of the DS Jindal Foundation, our family's charitable initiative.
